Fox Alumni Make History for Accounting Firm EisnerAmper

Accounting tools

Two Temple University Fox School of Business alumni now lead the national accounting firm EisnerAmper’s operations in the greater Philadelphia metro. Jay Weinstein, who earned a 1983 BS in accounting and a 1990 MBA in economics from Fox, stepped down as partner-in-charge of EisnerAmper’s Philadelphia office on July 1 to lead the firm’s recently completed New Jersey Metropark office. Taking the reins as partner-in-charge of the Philadelphia office was Lori Reiner, also a Fox graduate, who becomes the first woman to run an EisnerAmper office in the firm’s history.

Weinstein and Reiner worked closely together before Weinstein’s move to the Metropark office, which consolidates smaller offices in Edison, Bridgewater, Hackensack and Wall. Weinstein will lead over 400 accounting professionals at the new location.

In a press release issued by Temple, Weinstein confirmed his close ties to Fox and emphasized that EisnerAmper likes to hire Fox graduates. “We’re committed to Temple as a feeder school,” he said. “We’re a people business, and we’re only as good as the people we hire. We hire a significant number of students from Temple each year because they’re of a high quality.”

Weinstein serves on the executive committee of the Fox School’s Accounting Circle, which provides industry insights to Fox’s accounting program. His and Reiner’s experiences showcase the prominent leadership positions held by Fox graduates and the strength of the school’s alumni network in the greater Philadelphia metro.
