New Rutgers Business School Building on Livingston Campus
Starting Tuesday, September 3, Rutgers Business School will start holding classes in its new $85 million building on the school’s Livingston campus. The modern look of the building stands in sharp contrast to the decades-old buildings that Rutgers was previously known for, and speaks to Rutger’s commitment to investing in its future.
In addition, the building contains almost $4 million worth of technology, including close to 100 WiFi access points to HD video conferencing. The building will house some graduate courses, in addition to undergraduate courses, which will be taught using clicker technology, which enables students even in large classes to better participate.
The building was the result of an anonymous $13 million gift to the university in 2008, and the majority of which went to this new building in the efforts of updating the campus, where buildings date back to the 1960s.
On Monday, September 9, Rutgers Business School will hold an event outside the new building with music, food samples, activities, and giveaways from 1 pm to 5 pm to celebrate the opening. The formal ceremony with dignitaries from Rutgers University and Rutgers Business School will be held on Friday, October 25.
