Haub Offers Information Session to Draw Potential Internship Employers

Internships during business school can prove invaluable in getting a job after business school, deciding what you want to do with your MBA, or both. However, it can be challenging to move to a new city for a brief time to take an internship. Local branches of prominent companies can give you the chance to explore an industry or company without having to move too far away from school.

In the spirit of allowing students to explore the opportunities directly around them, Saint Joseph’s University will host a Co-op/Internship information session to reach out to local employers who may be interested in hiring MBA students from the Haub School of Business. The event will take place on the Saint Joseph’s campus on Friday, November 15 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. The event will give employers the chance to listen to the experiences of students who participate in internships and current companies that employ Haub students. The Co-op director at Saint Joseph’s observes that employers can count on Haub students to make a meaningful contribution to real tasks in the workplace, and will be fiscally sound. He also points out that companies can use internships to identify candidates for longer-term positions with the company.

Students at the Haub School of Business currently hold internship or co-op positions at the local sites of several prominant companies. In Philadelphia, these companies include Comcast, NBC Universal, Sprout, and Cigna. Other students have jobs at companies in nearby areas of Pennsylvania, Like AmerisourceBergen Corporation in Chesterbrook, SAP in Newton Square, Philadelphia Insurance Companies in Bala Cynwyd, and Bank of New York Mellon in King of Prussia. Students have also held positions at Morgan Stanley’s Baltimore office, the prominant chemical company DuPont in Delaware, and Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey.
