John Paglia Named Interim Associate Dean at Graziadio
John Paglia, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Finance at the Graziadio School of Business and Management has been appointed Interim Associate Dean and is now in charge of Fully Employed Programs, announced Dean Linda A. Livingstone.
“Dr. Paglia will oversee part-time evening programs for working professionals, including the Fully Employed MBA, Bachelor of Science in Management, M.S. in Management and Leadership, M.S. in Entrepreneurship and M.S. in Applied Finance degree offerings,” Livingstone said. “He will also oversee student recruitment for these programs and the Graziadio School’s marketing, communications and public relations operations.”
Paglia recently served as chair of the Finance and Accounting Department and was appointed Director of Accreditation in July 2013, a role he will continue to perform. He has a dozen years of experience teaching finance at universities teaching, has performed business valuations for privately-held companies, and has testified on economic damage and valuation matters.
Professor Paglia often speaks on the topics of privately-held company cost of capital, valuation, access to capital, and financing and deal trends at valuation and M&A conferences pertaining to small businesses and middle market companies. He authored eight Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project reports, and has researched financial contracting characteristics, market liquidity, the private cost of capital model, and financing choices for privately-held companies. His work has been published in journals like: Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance, Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis, Business Valuation Review, The Value Examiner, Journal of Wealth Management, The RMA Journal, and Graziadio Business Review.
