On February 11, The University of Delaware’s Lerner College of Business’ Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship will co-host a forum on the economic forecast for 2014 with Lyons Companies. The forum is an annual event that originally began in 2005 to inform Lyons employees about current economic conditions and their effects on clients. The forum has expanded to feature a panel discussion of economic trends, current economic conditions, and the policy implications of the current economic climate for a broader audience of business professionals, policymakers, educators, community leaders and students. After the speeches and panel discussion, the audience has the opportunity to ask the speakers questions.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Jon Hilsenrath, the chief economic correspondent for The Wall Street Journal. The panel will feature Charles I. Plosser, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia; Michael K. Farr, the President of Farr, Miller & Washington, LLC and author of The Arrogance Cycle; and H. Lawrence Culp, Jr., the President and Chief Executive Officer of Danaher Corporation.
The 2014 Economic Forecast will take place from 8:30 to 11:00 AM on February 11 in Clayton Hall on the University of Delaware’s Newark campus. The event is free, but reservations are required since seating is limited. To register for the event or to find more information, visit the event website.
