- MBA Monte Carlo Night – February 22, 2014 , Ritz Carlton, Washington, DC. Smith Full-Time, Part-Time and Master Student Association are invited to attend a night of fun featuring an Open bar, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, plus chips for gaming tables and multiple casino games along with live band and dancing. Part of the proceeds from the night’s event will go towards the M. Scott Lamana and Eric Cranford Memorial MBA Fellowship Fund.
- Social Enterprise Symposium – March 7, 2014 , Stamp Student Union. The 6th annual Social Enterprise Symposium, created and hosted by the Center for Social Value Creation, explores the role of business in creating economic prosperity and lasting social and environmental change. From sustainability to social entrepreneurship, the Social Enterprise Symposium connects students with thoughts leaders using the tools of business to change the world. This year’s event carries the theme of “Don’t Hold Back,” and will feature two keynotes, a series of breakout sessions and workshops, and our first ever Do Good Ventures Showcase.
- Smith School Business Summit – March 28, 2014 , North Bethesda Marriott.
- Cupid’s Cup – April 4, 2014 , Clarice Smith Center for the Performing Arts. For the ninth year Kevin Plank, Under Armor’s founder and CEO, will partner with his alma mater to host Cupid’s Cup—Smith Entrepreneurial Business Competition.
- MBA Thursday Socials – Thursdays, 5:30pm, Van Munching Hall.
- Spirit of Smith Senior Cruise – May 10, 2014 , Potomac River, Washington, DC.
- Commencement – May 22 & 23, 2014, Comcast Center.
- CEO@Smith Speaker Series – Each spring and fall the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business brings in top CEOs to speak in the CEO@Smith speaker series. You can see highlights from last semester’s CEO @ Smith online here.
- Innovation Fridays – Fridays, 11am to 1pm, Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. Innovation Fridays informal sessions are held Fridays from 11-1 pm in 2518 Van Munching Hall and open to all UMD students. Entrepreneurs in Residence are available to hear and evaluate new business ideas.
