Smith Comes in Strong in Latest Financial Times Ranking

After a strong showing last year, the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business’ MBA program held its ground in the Financial Times’ 2014 Global MBA rankings.

The Smith program has been ranked #50 in the world and #26 in the United States. Furthermore, the school came in at #5 worldwide in e-business and #9 worldwide in economics.

The ranking is based on two surveys of business schools and MBA alumni from  2010. The surveys based rankings on “the career progression of alumni, the school’s idea generation and the diversity of students and faculty.”

The Smith School MBA curriculum aims to give its students an appreciation of the importance of globalization, entrepreneurship and technology in today’s business environment and teach the importance of globalization, entrepreneurship and technology in today’s business environment.

MBAs develop an “integrative” systems understanding of the interactions of the key functional aspects of an organization in order to enable successful businesses as well as well-developed, sophisticated quantitative, analytical, communication and leadership skills.
