New York University’s Stern School of Business’ Center for Business Analytics (CBA) will join Dstillery, an advertising technology company that specializes in audience targeting, in hosting the second annual Advertising and Data Science Congress (ADS*CON). The symposium will bring top academic and industry thinkers together to discuss the impact of data science and technology on advertising. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Embrace the Noise.”
“As the world inexorably goes digital, the amount of data available for analysis expands exponentially, and with it the potential for noise,” said Dstillery CEO Tom Phillips. “This year, ADS*CON focuses on helping marketers navigate these massive and often noisy data sets to find meaningful signals. We look forward to continuing to empower marketers with innovation and practical insights, helping them to embrace the noise.”
The event features a diverse collection of speakers who aim to help the audience think about marketing in new ways. The speaker list includes two Stern professors, Vasant Dhar and Anindya Ghose, who are Co-Directors of the Center for Business Analytics and professors of Information, Operations and Management Sciences. Ghose is also a professor of marketing. The speaker list also includes David Cancel, the Chief Product Officer of HubSpot; Kevin Novak, a Chief Scientist at Uber; Amit Phansalkar, a Chief Data Scientist at MassMutual; Joanna O’Connell, the Director of Research for AdExchanger; Michael Tiffany, the CEO of WhiteOps, and Ambrish Verma, the Senior Director of the Mobile Commerce, Identity and Monetization Platform for Electronic Arts. A full list of confirmed speakers is available here.
ADS*CON will take place on February 6, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Since space is limited, registration is by invitation only, but invitations can be requested here. The event will take place at NYU’s Stern School of Business. For more information, visit the ADS*CON website.
