Pepperdine University Graziadio School o f Business and Management MBAs are currently in the midst of the 2014 John Molson MBA International Case Competition in Montreal.
Irena Kojouharova, Tammy Billings, Xiaojing Fan and Ravi Gupta are dueling it out with teams from all over the world for the chacne to be one of nine teams that advance to semifinals and eventually compete in the three-team final round on Friday, January 10. Team Graziadio has completed their first four case presentations and is still in the running for the semifinals.
Pepperdine’s Graziadio School is one of 36 business schools representing 13 countries in one of the most prestigious of MBA case competitions around. The winning team receives a cash prize totaling CAD 10,000.
The John Molson MBA International Case Competition is a not-for-profit event organized by a team of four MBA students from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. The competition is open to top business schools worldwide, and is recognized as the largest competition of its kind. The competition’s goal is to bridge the gap between corporate and academic worlds.
The competition format is a round-robin tournament consisting of five business cases. The cases are selected from among the top entries from the annual Case Writing Competition. One of these cases is a live case presentation by a major company about a real-life business challenge that they are currently facing.
