LinkedIn CFO Appointed to Santa Clara Board of Trustees
Santa Clara University added a high-profile tech executive to its board of trustees when they hired LinkedIn CFO Steve Sordello to SCU’s board. He has already started serving his first three-year term.
Sordello holds an MBA and BA from Santa Clara University, and is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at LinkedIn, where he oversees finance, business operations, facilities and corporate development.
After stints as the top finance chief at TiVo and Ask Jeeves Inc., Sordello joined LinkedIn in July 2007 and helped the company grow from $32 million in revenues in 2007 to over $1 billion in revenues in 2013 and go public as the first major publicly traded social-media company— a high-profile $352.8 million IPO that saw the company’s stock rise 109 percent on opening day in May 2012. Sordello also has held senior finance roles at Adobe Systems and Syntex.
Santa Clara University also elected Rachel Manfre and Rich Haughey to its board of trustee along with Steve Sordello. This bringsthe number of members of the SCU’s governing body to 45 total members.
