27 MBA students from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business journeyed west to California for the annual CalTrek. CalTrek is a student group that helps West Coast recruitment of Georgetown MBAs across many industries and functional areas.
Sponsored by Georgetown MBA California Business Alliance each January, the group shuttles a trip up to the sunny San Francisco Bay area to visit companies of interest to current students and to network with Georgetown University alumni.
The students participated in an event hosted by the McDonough Office of Alumni and External Relations featuring Gabrielle Toledano, executive vice president and chief talent officer at Electronic Arts, and Steve Cadigan, former vice president of talent at LinkedIn.
Toledano was named Executive Vice President and Chief Talent Officer in of Electronic Arts in October 2011. From April 2007 until October 2011, she served as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Facilities. From February 2006 until March 2007, Toledano held the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Facilities. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Society for Human Resource Management and Big City Mountaineers.
Steve Cadigan has over 25 years of global human resources experience, having practiced HR in the US, Canada, and Asia-Pacific while working on many complex acquisition integrations around the globe. Cadigan served as vice president of talent at LinkedIn for over three years and took the company from a private firm of 400 employees through an IPO and into the powerhouse that it is recognized as today. Prior to LinkedIn. Cadigan served as vice president of HR at Electronic Arts where he was responsible for the games label group, with 2,500 employees and $2 billion revenue, as well as M&A integrations.
A few other companies that this year’s student were about to connect with include: Google, Apple, Electronic Arts, Box, PayPal, HP, Frog, Levi’s, Chevron, Walmart, and eCommerce.
