LMU Creates New Advisory Board

Loyola Marymount University’s innovative M-School, the undergraduate program designed to train world-class advertising and marketing professionals for today’s digital business environment, announced its new advisory board featuring a who’s who of the West Coast marketing world.

“We’ve assembled a group of some of the most innovative thinkers in modern marketing to help shape and grow LMU’s breakthrough M-School program,” said Eric Johnson, founder and president of Ignited, and president of thinkLA.

The board, which will have its first meeting on Wednesday, June 11, includes: Winston Binch, chief digital officer, Deutsch LA; Patricia Korth-McDonnell, partner and managing director, HUGE; Dave Madden, senior vice president, Electronic Arts; Ivan Perez-Armendariz, chief digital officer, CP&B; Dustin Callif, managing partner, Tool of North America; Michael Dubin, founder and CEO, Dollar Shave Club; Carisa Bianchi, former president, TBWAChiatDay; Tressie Lieberman, director of social and digital marketing, Taco Bell/Yum Brands; Bud Caddell, partner and founder, @Undercurrent; Eric Johnson, founder and president, Ignited; Jerry McGee, West Coast director, 4As; Susan Franceschini, executive director, thinkLA; and Roger Van Remmen, president and CEO, Brown, Van Remmen, Kanuit, Inc.

“The M-School and its newly formed board of advisers is a symbol of the strong partnership between LMU and the L.A. marketing and advertising community in and around Silicon Beach,” said Binch, a member of the new board.   “Deutsch L.A. is excited to be working closely with LMU and its M-School initiative to help create the next generation of home-grown advertising and branding talent.”

For LMU and its College of Business Administration, the M-School and its board represent a valuable alliance needed to prepare students for the real world of work they will enter upon graduation.
