Lucas to Host Entrepreneurship & Innovation Summit

The Lucas Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University will be hosting the 4th Annual Summit on Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The event will be held on September 26, 2014. The event will start at 3:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. The event is an information session and a seminar for those who attend.

The event will focus on “Building global bridges”, specifically, sourcing and financing global businesses, both new ventures and SMEs. The conference is held in collaboration with the City of San Jose and is sponsored by Alibaba.

Alibaba operates leading online and mobile marketplaces in retail and wholesale trade, as well as cloud computing and other services. The company provides technology and services to enable consumers, merchants, and other participants to conduct commerce in our ecosystem.

Alibaba Group was founded in 1999 by 18 people led by Jack Ma, a former English teacher from Hangzhou, China. Our founders started our company to champion small businesses, in the belief that the Internet would level the playing field by enabling small enterprises to leverage innovation and technology to grow and compete more effectively in the domestic and global economies.
