Villanova Earns Top Spot In Regional North

Villanova University has again earned the top spot in the Regional University–North category in U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Colleges” rankings. This marks the 22nd consecutive year that the University has placed #1 in that category. The publication’s “America’s Best Colleges” issue will be publish September 23, 2014.

Villanova has also been ranked as the top school in the North for “Great Schools, Great Prices.” This ranking takes into account a school’s academic quality, based on its U.S. News Best Colleges ranking, along with the 2013-14 net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. According to U.S. News, “the higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal.”

Villanova was also ranked among the nation’s top universities in the North for “Best Undergraduate Teaching.” This category recognizes schools where “the faculty has an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching.”

Villanova University’s College of Engineering has been ranked #11 nationwide in the “Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs” category among schools whose highest degree is a bachelor’s or masters. This ranking lists undergraduate programs accredited by ABET, formerly known as the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, according to the strength of their academic reputation.
