Ageno Hosts Women in Leadership Event

The Edward S. Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University will host the second annual Women in Leadership event. The event will be held on November 5, 2014 at Golden Gate University. The Women in Leadership event is a panel discussion promoting women’s empowerment designed to nurture women, as they become leaders.

The Women in Leadership event is part of Golden Gate University’s long history of supporting women in business. GGU has been training women to become successful working professionals for nearly 100 years. Adjunct Professor of Human Resources Management for Golden Gate University and MBA alumnus, Cassandra Sawyer, will moderate the panel discussion.

Sawyer is a Director of Human Resources for a retail merchandising company in the East Bay, where she oversees and directs the employment of approximately 2000 employees in 19 different states. As the moderator for the event, she will oversee the discussion among three other professional women.

Dana Borys will be one member of the panel discussion. Borys is the Senior Tax Manager at Burr Pilger Mayer, Inc. and has more than ten years of public accounting experience with a specialization in corporate tax services for high technology, biotechnology and manufacturing companies.

Judith Coley will also be a part of the panel discussion. Coley has more than 15 years experience in corporate communications and marketing in the mobile, video and technology space. She has senior-level experience transforming tech brands across the U.S., Europe and Asia. She is currently Vice President Corporate and Investor Communications at video technology company Envivio.

Mini Khroad is the third member of the panel. Mini is a VP, HR of Talent Programs & Services at Yahoo.com and an Adjunct Professor with Golden Gate University. She has more than 15 years of HR experience, including HR business partner at eBay Inc. and Oracle Corporation.

The event is sold out to attend at the Golden Gate University campus but the event is also available to view online. The event will be available to view online from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
