Baltimore Business Journal released its list of “40 Under 40” honorees for 2014. Of the 40 people recognized by the BBJ, three were Johns Hopkins Carey Business School MBA graduates. These Carey alumni were recognized for their leadership in the local business community. The honorees are: Olga Maltseva Brillman (MBA, ’12), Kwame Kuadey (MBA, ’08), and Alex Kopicki (MSRE, ’11).

Brillman is the director of philanthropy at Camden Partners, a diversified investment management company based in Baltimore, and is also the founding executive director of the Warnock Foundation, which supports local social innovators who work to address a range of issues related to equity and engagement in the city.

Kuadey, who is also a 2014 winner of the Maryland EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, is the chief executive officer and founder of Giftcardrescue.com, an online marketplace where users can buy and sell unused gift cards.

Alex Kopicki is a co-founder of real estate company Solstice Partners and the real estate website Kinglet. He earned his graduate degree in real estate from the Carey Business School and develops properties in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

A reception honoring the 40 Under 40 class will be held at the Hard Rock Café in Baltimore on December 4.
