CSULB Announces New Director of Biz Grad Programs

Dean of College of Business Administration Michael E. Solt at Cal. State Long Beach has announced the appointment of Ingrid Martin as the next Director of Business Graduate Program. Solt has been Full Professor in the CBA since 2005 and continuously has been AQ-g, with 58 IC points of which 35 points are for peer-reviewed journals A-D. Ingrid has also regularly taught in our MBA programs.

In 2008, Martin was a member of both the Student Learning Task Force and the MBA Task Force. She has been a member of the Graduate Programs Committee since that time, often chairing the committee. Ingrid has helped develop the expanded orientations for AMBA, Saturday MBA, and Evening MBA programs.

Over the last few years, Ingrid and other CBA faculty members have developed a strong Sustainability course sequence in the Saturday MBA that has done a number of interesting projects. Ingrid has displayed strong interest and passion for CBA’s graduate programs and has worked to solidify and improve them.

Martin plans to grow the Evening MBA with a market/competitive analysis of the regional part-time MBA programs to determine the potential strengths and weaknesses of the program. She also plans on creating an advisory board for the AMBA and Saturday MBA programs. She also plans on reviewing the focus of AMBA curriculum to help determine how to develop a strong niche in the graduate marketplace internationally as well as regionally. Martin also plans to further develop our presence in online MBA courses can open up more potential markets for us.
