Michael S. Robb, has been appointed executive director of the Center for Real Estate (CRE) at UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business. Robb recently retired as executive vice president of the Real Estate Investments Group at Pacific Life Corporation,
Robb originally joined Pacific Life in 1976. Most recently he served as a senior vice president of Real Estate Investments until his retirement on January 1, 2013. Robb currently serves as a director for Morguard Corp. and for the California Mortgage Bankers Association.
He also serves as a lecturer at the University of San Diego and the University of California, Irvine. Robb is a Member of the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, Urban Land Institute, and he serves on the Policy Advisory Board at the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at UC Berkeley.
Effective upon commencement of the 2014-15 academic year, Robb will take primary responsibility for extending the CRE’s reach into the professional community and enhancing its linkages with faculty and students. He will also participate in the teaching mission of the program and Center, where his extensive practitioner background and experience will enhance the breadth of the real estate curriculum.
Robb was formally introduced at the CRE’s Breakfast Series event held October 7, 2014 at the Pacific Club. He will also be present at the Center’s 2014 CRE Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Awards Luncheon to be held October 30, 2014 at the Island Hotel.
