UC Davis Graduate School of Management will be holding an open house at its Bay Area campus on November 7th. The event is open to all prospective students. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
During the event, prospective students can take a tour of the campus and talk with Davis admissions representatives about student life, curriculum and any other questions that are important to you. The Davis Bay Area campus is located in San Ramon, California.
The Bay Area campus offers a part-time MBA program. This part-time program is a hybrid of the Full-Time and Part-Time MBA program in Sacramento with classes offered on the weekends. Most students choose to attend class every other weekend. Elective courses are offered in the summer quarter for those students that wish to proceed through the program at a faster pace.
The program takes between 21 and 48 months to complete. However, on average most students will complete their MBA in 33 months. The course is taught through the Davis IMPACT curriculum. Students will build a broad foundation of business knowledge and skills.
Students participate in ten core courses that provide a foundation in the functional areas of business: accounting, economics, finance, marketing, operations, organizational behavior, statistics and strategy. As a two-part capstone course students then put collective business skills and knowledge to work on a 10-week consulting team project for partner companies ranging from Fortune 500 firms to ultra-fast-paced Silicon Valley startups.
Core classes for this program meet Friday and Saturdays every other week. Elective classes are taught on alternating weekends. The average age of students in this program is 30, with an average of six years of professional working experience.
Registration for the event can be completed online. There is no cost to attend the event. Light refreshments will be served during the open house for attendants.
