Zelon Crawford has been selected to serve as Columbia Business School’s new Assistant Dean and Dean of Students for the Full-Time MBA Program. She will take her position January 5, 2015.
Crawford brings more than 15 years of experience in top business schools and companies to Columbia. Some of these schools and companies include NYU Stern, American Express, and Accenture. She most recently served as director of graduate business programs and recruitment for Villanova School of Business.
At Villanova, she led the MBA and MS program review of academic content and teaching quality. She also led student services with a focus on career development and alumni connectivity as well as admissions standards and communication and processes to enhance the student experience.
She has also worked extensively with academic and corporate partners to deliver programs on Villanova Business School’s two campuses and online. This work has helped to align faculty members and staff members to reach the school’s students.
Prior to Villanova, Crawford was director of graduate career management and corporate relations for Temple University’s Fox School of Business. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and also has a master’s degree in higher education administration from Columbia University’s Teacher’s College.
