McDonough Professors Take Time to Teach Brazilian MS Execs
Executives from within Microsoft’s Brazilian subsidiary attended a special executive education course at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. The five-day Microsoft Brazil Leadership Program addressed the tech company’s focus on giving their international executives insights on innovative thinking, international strategy and planning and implementing change management. The trip also featured a trip to a young innovative firm, EverFi, where discussion focused on innovation, technology and managing millennials.
“I am leaving Georgetown a much better professional…and person too!” one participant said. “The content was a perfect fit for the actual challenges I face in my daily work. Go Hoyas!”
Professor Robert J. Bies, a McDonough professor who taught the international executive a course on leadership, called the group “one of the most engaged and motivated groups of executives with which I’ve worked,” and applauded their dedication to the program and their organization.
“They knew they would play a key role in the future and wanted to help Microsoft reinvent itself in the competitive global marketplace,” Bies said.
