Ben Carpenter To Speak at McDonough’s Distinguished Leaders Series

Ben Carpenter, vice chairman of CRT Capital Group and author of the hit book “The Bigs: The Secrets Nobody Tells Students and Young Professionals,” will speak at Georgetown University’s Case Room 450 as part of the Stanton Distinguished Leaders Series at the McDonough School of Business on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 4 to 5 PM.

Carpenter’s book was originally conceived when he realized that even after receiving a college education his eldest daughter was not prepared for the competitiveness of “the real world.”

Since its release, the book has been featured on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business, to just name a few. Carpenter has recently been promoting his book’s message at colleges and universities across the country.

The Stanton Distinguished Leaders Series brings to Georgetown’s campus leaders who are renowned in their fields to share their unique experiences with the school’s students and alumni and to engage in dialogue about leadership in an ever-changing world. The event is also co-sponsored by the Undergraduate Program Office. In the past, the Distinguished Leaders Series has brought renowned executives and educators as speakers like John Doerr, Briana Scurry and Dan Och.
