Haub Maintains AACBS Accreditation

The Association to Advance Collegiate Business Schools has once again accredited the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University. This is the third time that the school has received this accreditation. Less than five percent of the world’s business schools and programs have received the accreditation from AACBS.

In order to maintain AACBS accreditation, programs must undergo an internal review every five years. During the review, the program must show its commitment to a certain level of standards. These standards apply to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students and commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.

AACSB provides internationally recognized, specialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level. AACSB Accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized and professional accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn. Programs that are accredited by AACSB receive a review for accreditation through a voluntarily application.

The process for accreditation includes self-evaluation and peer-review elements. After the application is completed. A school is evaluated to see if it meets the accreditation standards. If the school passes these standards, it will be recommended for initial accreditation. This process is repeated every five years.

There are now more than 719 business schools in 48 different countries and territories that have earned Accreditation from The Association to Advance Collegiate Business Schools. More than 180 institutions hold additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.
