Davis Offers New Alumni Fellowship

UC Davis alumni who are planning to complete the Part-Time MBA program at UC Davis Graduate School of Management are now eligible for a new Alumni Fellowship program. The Aggie Pride Alumni Fellowship program is a scholarship award created to help fund alumni business education through promoting “Aggie Pride.” Recipients of the fellowship award can receive up to $3,000 toward their MBA education.  Graduates of UC Davis are informally referred to as “Aggies,” reflecting the university’s 1905 founding roots as a land grant agricultural school.

To apply, applicants must write a short essay that describes how being a UC Davis graduate has had an impact on their career and how they will continue to promote “Aggie Pride” through completing their MBA degree at Davis. The scholarship is open to applicants seeking to begin their MBA studies in the fall 2015. Applications for the fellowship are due March 18. The deadline for applying for fall admission to the UC Davis MBA programs is May 20.

The part-time MBA program at Davis is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals. The program is offered in both Sacramento and San Ramon. Classes for the part-time program are held every other weekend and weeknights from 6:00-9:00 PM. The schedule of classes is determined by which campus the student is attending.

Students in the program have the option to choose an area of concentration, completed through elective courses. Students can choose concentrations from Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Finance, Accounting, General Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior Strategy, Technology Management. The program can be completed in as little as two years or can be completed over three years. Summer courses are available to those students wishing to complete their MBA degree in two years.
