GWSB Receives Accolades for International Business and MBA Programs
U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 Best Graduate Programs ranks The George Washington University School of Business among the best in the nation for its International Business program and #15 for its MBA program is their rankings that were released on March 10, 2015.
According to the GWSB website, the university’s location in the heart of the nation’s capital, minutes from the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, “offers distinctive advantages for both students who wish to gain practical experience and faculty who wish to perform academic research that has global implications.”
U.S. News and World Report bases the rankings on statistical data from each school along with expert opinions from academic leaders and business professionals, including corporate recruiters. The MBA rankings are calculated by combining evaluations from business school deans and program chairs, recruiter assessment, admissions data, and salary and job placement figures. Specialty rankings are determined entirely by assessment from deans and program chairs. The methodology for USN’s part-time survey is based half on evaluations from deans and directors and half on a combination of GMAT and GRE averages, undergraduate GPA and work experience, among other factors.
GWSB is no stranger to being atop of MBA program rankings. Back in January, The Financial Times ranked the school #5 in the world for International Business. In addition, US News and World Report ranked the school’s graduate program in international business in the top 20 for 2015. Bloomberg Businessweek also ranked George Washington University in its top 10 for 2011. In its 2010 rankings of full-time MBA programs, the Financial Times ranked George Washington University as one of the top five schools in the field of international business.
