Marshall Ranked Top 10 Schools for Vets
The USC Marshall School of Business has been ranked in the top ten of the best business schools for veterans by Military Times. Marshall was ranked as no. 9 among the 75 schools ranked by the publication in its 2015 Best for Vets rankings. This is the third year that the publication has released rankings for business schools.
The Military Times rankings are created based on scores from business schools’ survey responses to both the Business Schools survey and parts of the Colleges survey that were sent out to 150 different schools. The responses were based on what veterans said is important to them as well as on the publication’s own editorial judgment. The publication also factored in Education Department statistics commonly used to track student success and academic quality.
Schools were essentially evaluated in five categories: university culture, student support, academic outcomes and quality, academic policies, and cost and financial aid. The value of each section was comparable, but university culture and student support counted the most, and financial aid counted the least.

Marshall launched its one-year Master of Business for Veterans program in 2013. The program was created based on feedback from military veterans who had enrolled in Marshall’s Executive MBA programs in San Diego. The MBV program is a one-year, intensive master’s degree administered by the Office of Executive Education at Marshall. The MBV curriculum is geared toward veterans as well as active-duty military personnel in California.
