Simmons Holds BSBA/MBA Info Session

The Simmons School of Management will be hosting an information session for prospective undergraduate business students. This information session is for the BSBA/MBA program at Simmons. The event will be held March 26 at 5 p.m. The information session is for current Simmons College students that are intersted in jump starting their MBA while completing their undergraduate degree. Those intersted in attending the event can complete an event registration form online.

The benefits of completing the BSBA to MBA program at Simmons are that the program will save you money by allowing you to compete the MBA degree in an accelerated time frame, give you an opportunity to expand your network outside of your unicer graduate degree and give you more career opportunities after graduating with only the undergraduate degree. The program is offered in both part-time and full-time options with flexible scheduling.

In order to be admitted to the BSBA/MBA program, prospective students must  first apply and be accepted to the to the undergraduate program at Simmons or to the Dix Scholars program. Once enrolled at Simmons, you may choose your major and coursework under the guidance of the BSBA/MBA undergraduate advisor.

Students may apply to the BSBA/MBA program at the end of their junior year, (or once you have earned a total of 92 credits, including transfer and prior-learning credits). If accepted to the program, stufents will take two MBA courses during their senior year, which count toward both your undergraduate degree and your MBA degree.

After completing their senior year, stuents in the program will then graduate with a BSBA in May or August and then begin their MBA studies in September in one of the flexible day and/or evening programs. The time it will take to complete the MBA degree depends on the schedule time and the amount of courses taken per term. The time frame for completion can range from 16-months to three years.
