Ageno Prof Named Practitioner Editor of Journal of Financial Planning
Ageno School of Business distinguished adjunct professor Dr. Dave Yeske has been named the Practitioner Editor of the Journal of Financial Planning. Dr. Yeske will begin this position on June 1. The Journal of Financial Planning is a monthly journal that is focused on expanding knowledge in the financial planning profession. The journal was launched in 1979. The journal’s content consists of articles, interviews with professionals, columns and peer-review contributions that are beneficial to financial planners.
Yeske will serve as Practitioner Editor of the journal for three years. In this position he will work with the publication’s editorial staff to provide expertise on practitioner issues, challenges, opportunities and insight into emerging trend with in the field. He will also provide original writing work for the journal and act as an ambassador for the journal at FPA and other industry events and conferences.
Dr. Yeske has been a financial planner for over twenty years. He holds a doctorate in finance from Golden Gate University, a MA in economics and a BS in Applied economics from the University of San Francisco. He is well known for his research and writings in Policy-Based Financial Planning. He also chairs the financial planning program at the Ageno School of Business.
Dr. Yeske is a principal of the wealth management firm, Yeske Buie. He has also served as president of FPA in 2003 and chair in 2004. Dr. Yeske has also served two terms as chair of FPA’s Political action Committee in 2005 and 2006. Following that, he chaired FPA’s Research Center Team and FPA’s Academic Advisory Council.
