REGISTER: Lake Forest’s May First Friday Event
The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management will have Dr. Larry Barton give a special presentation at the school’s May 1 First Friday Event. Barton is presently the highest rated instructor at The FBI Academy in Quantico, where he teaches policy and methods for the prevention of workplace violence.
At the First Friday event, Barton will be sharing his unique insights on the following topics:
- Data breach and impact on your clients, financial condition and reputation
- Workplace violence and threats against your people and sites
- Community and activist attacks on key facilities, products or launches
- Navigating the impact of a natural disaster or prolonged IT outage on your organization
Barton has previously served the Vice President of Crisis Management for Motorola, Inc. for five years and has has been featured in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, USA Today, CNBC, ABC News This Morning, CNN, and profiled by The Wall Street Journal. An accomplished author, Barton has had four best-selling books published about crisis management and the prevention of workplace violence for corporations. His most recent book, Crisis Leadership Now: A Real-World Guide to Preparing for Threats, Disaster, Sabotage, and Scandal was voted one of the Best Business Books of the Year by Soundview Executive Books and is used in over 340 corporate training programs globally.
The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management First Friday networking series events are typically open only for current students, Alumni and Faculty.
