University of Texas at Arlington College of Business alumna Jacqualyn Fouse has committed $762,500 to establish the $1.525 million Jack and Doris Fouse Scholarship for Study Abroad fund. The college will provide the additional money for the fund. The scholarship will allow Goolsby Leadership Academy and international business students at UT Arlington to have international experiences while in business school. The gift is named in honor of Fouse’s parents.

Fouse explained the rationale behind her scholarship donation: “I want to make it possible for international business students and Goolsby scholars to have a global experience that will complement their existing academic careers and hopefully open up some new worlds and horizons for them.”

“The future of business is no longer just international, it is multi-national. Future business leaders need first-hand experience to thrive in this global economy,” said Rachel Croson, dean of the UT Arlington College of Business. “This generous gift from Jackie Fouse will help ensure that UT Arlington students gain the international perspective and insight that will make them more attractive to U.S. companies that do business around the world.”

Fouse earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from UT Arlington in the 1980s. She currently serves as the president of Global Hematology and Oncology at Celgene. She earned her doctorate in finance from UT Arlington in 2012 while serving as CFO for Celgene. She has previously donated money to UT Arlington to establish the John and Judy Goolsby-J.A. Fouse Endowed Chair in the UT Arlington College of Business and the Jacqualyn A. Fouse Endowed Scholarship in the Goolsby Leadership Academy.
