The next Women Who Inspire Speaker Series at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business will be held June 16. This event titled, “Finance and Private Equity” will feature industry professionals that will discuss financial trends, mitigating risks and emerging markets. The event will be held 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the Northeastern University campus in Boston. The event is free for all Northeastern students, faculty and staff. The event’s featured panelist include, Mary Deatherage, managing director of wealth management and private wealth advisor, Morgan Stanley, Fran Jani, founding partner of Pomona Capital and Rachel Tyler, senior vice president of Fidelity Investments. The moderator for the panel discussion will be Mike Sanders, executive director of the Potomac Research Group. The cost of the program for industry professionals and Northeastern alumni is $45.
The Women who Inspire Speaker Series is part of Northeastern’s commitment to support the advancement of women in technology, engineering, science and sustainability. The program’s mission is to help to create the next generation of women leaders in these areas and to provide direct access to industry professionals and to promote networking, support and mentoring groups at Northeastern.
The panel events offer attendees the opportunity to learn from accomplished women CEOs and senior leaders and to discuss new technology, trends and challenges they face in business. Topics for these panel discussions include disruptive technology and future trends; cloud computing, big data, and 3-D imaging; renewable energy and sustainability; global entrepreneurs driving change; and innovation in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
