The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management will be holding an information session on July 13 that will highlight everything you can get out of the school’s MBA program. At the event, prospective MBAs will be able to meet current students, alumni and faculty, visit a class, and have questions answered. Attendees will learn about financing, flexible class schedules, and balancing your MBA with your busy life. A light dinner will also be served.
LFGSM offers two MBA degree programs:
The Leadership MBA (LMBA) is a general management business degree, typically serving a student population with more work experience. Timely business topics are incorporated into a curriculum which includes accounting, business management and policy, communications, economics, finance, marketing, organizational development, and strategy.
The Immersion MBA (iMBA), which allows those with less real-world experience to become immersed in a virtual-reality clone of a real company with real products, customers, competitors, opportunities and failures. 75 percent of the time in the iMBA program is spent in a virtual-reality environment and 25 percent is spent participating in online discussions and group projects with your fellow students and faculty.
Both degree are approached holistically: By rotating through as many as 10 of the company’s departments, MBAs at LFGSM learn core business functions by actually working in each area.
