Rutgers Center for Real Estate Selects Advisory Board Members
The Center for Real Estate at the Rutgers Business School has gathered top real estate professionals to serve as the “Founding Members” of its professional Advisory Board. Advisory Board members will serve as a channel of information for the Center and will help to promote productive discussion among students, industry peers and government.
The members of the Advisory Board will also have the opportunity to teach a class for students at the Center for Real Estate by acting as an adjunct professor or guest lecturer. Members will also be able to participate in Center-run conferences and guest speaker series and become a mentor for a student. As a student’s mentor, members will attend career days and provide internship opportunities for students.
The Rutgers Center for Real Estate was established in 2014. The Center for Real Estate is working to establish and pioneer cross-disciplinary programs around two fundamental real estate challenges, supply chain/industrial real estate and public policy/urban redevelopment, in collaboration with other Centers already in place at Rutgers University. The Center was founded by Ronald M. Shapiro, who also serves as the executive director. The center is co-chaired by Carl J. Goldberg and James E. Hanson.
Advisory Board members were carefully selected to create a diverse group of leaders in a variety of real-estate related fields. Members of the Advisory Board share a common goal of fostering productive discussion in order to advance the study of real estate and to meet the evolving needs of a diverse student population by providing real-world experiences and collegial access to the top minds in real estate.
