The Business Man Behind Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, President Jeffrey Anderson

Behind every great business school is a great businessman (or woman, obviously). At the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, that man is Jeffrey J. Anderson, the 5th President and CEO in LFGSM’s history. In this role, Anderson utilizes his extensive business and academic experience to manage the School’s operations and lead its developmental outlook.

Professionally, Anderson is a co-founder and partner at The Chatham Group, a consulting advisory firm that he launched in 2003. While leading LFGSM, he also advises senior executives on how best to grow their businesses and advance their careers.

Before joining LFGSM in October 2014, Anderson was an Associate Dean for Leadership Development at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, which is also where he earned his MBA.

In addition to his work and education, Anderson has served as Board Chair of The Danish Home since 2010 and has led the turnaround of the 120-year-old not-for-profit senior living facility. He also served from 2004-2007 on the Audit Committee of the City of Lake Forest, where he lives with his wife, Cheryl, and their three children.

When Anderson was appointed back in 2014, LFGSM Board Chair David M. McDonough said:

“The LFGSM Board of Directors believes that Jeff has the right combination of skills, experience and perspective to lead the School in a new era of fulfilling its mission and vision, building on the School’s long and rich history.”
