John Zabinski has been named the senior vice president for university advancement at Rowan University. Zabinski will also serve as the executive director of the Rowan University Foundation. As SVP, he will help Rowan University President Ali Houshmand, to reach the University’s goal of increasing enrollment by ten thousand students by 2023 and complete more than $500 million worth of construction to the Rowan campus over the next five years.
The Rowan University Advancement division works to secure philanthropic support and engage alumni, donors and other constituents to help to advance the mission of Rowan University. As Senior Vice President, Zabinski will help lead the division to oversee Development, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services and the Rowan University Foundation. As Executive Director of The Rowan University Foundation, Zabinski will oversee and coordinate all fundraising activities for the university. The Foundation is also responsible for the management and investment of all charitable contributions to benefit the University.
In a news statement to the University, President Houshmand said, “Rowan University is on a path to transform into a nationally recognized comprehensive research university and a critically important regional economic catalyst. John has a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience, and comes to Rowan just as we need more resources to expand our academic offerings and research capabilities, and to add support for our growing student population.”
Before coming to Rowan University, Zabinski served as the vice president for institutional advancement at Drexel University. He has also previously worked with Saint Joseph’s University, the Valley Forge Military Academy and College, as well as Villanova University and Sacred Heart Hospital.
