Golden Gate University’s Braden School Brings Bay Area Business Luminaries to Speak on Campus

The Golden Gate University Braden Leadership Speaker Series—which launched on September 1, 2015—invites students, alumni and the general public to benefit from the expertise and advice of renowned industry leaders from throughout the Bay Area. The free series will take place every Tuesday at noon through December 1, 2015.

Carol Isozaki, owner of Strategic Brand Intelligence, kicked things off with a presentation entitled “Plan to Be Amazing! Building Your Brand as a Leader.” Isozaki spent years as a CPA working for PwC leading global engagement teams for Silicon Valley-based clients and as an executive coach on personal and leadership branding before launching her own consulting practice in 2011.

Additional speakers in the series lineup include Darren Gold of San Francisco-based consulting firm the Trium Group, Melinda Eisenhut-Dunn, global CFO/CCO for Sequoia Capital, and Don Rath, vice president of tax for Synopsys. Topics covered will range from building a mindful organization and values-based leadership to tax leadership in the 21st century.

“Our distinguished guests will share lessons learned along the journey in their field, as well as valuable insights into important topics that business leaders need to pay attention to in order to succeed in today’s increasingly competitive business environment,” Fred Stroke, dean of the Braden School of Taxation and the School of Accounting, said in a statement. “The ability to lead has become an essential complement to the technical skill set for tax and accounting professionals, and we are excited about the high-caliber line-up of speakers and the broad spectrum of topics we will be presenting at the series.”
