The Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University was recently ranked No. 4 on a list of 30 Great Small College Business Degree Programs for 2015.

The ranking of business schools, found on the online-accounting-degrees.net website, created their list based on a number of factors, the foremost requiring the ranked schools to have an undergraduate population of less than 4,000 students. From there, the schools were ranked according to criteria such as the variety of business-related majors, student opportunities, organization, and awards/recognition.

Established in 1984, the Stetson School of Business and Economics focuses on business education with the goal of developing leaders in entrepreneurship. The University has campuses in Macon and Atlanta, Regional Academic Centers in Douglas and Henry Counties, as well as opportunities online.

According to the website’s profile of Mercer, “(T)he Stetson School of Business and Economics offers more than 10 business-related majors, as well as the unique opportunity to tailor a major to meet one’s own personal goals. Business students also have a variety of impressive internship and study abroad opportunities to prepare themselves for careers in the real world.” Included in the profile are commendations for such initiatives as the BB&T Center for Undergraduate Research in Public Policy and Capitalism, the Center for Executive Education and the Executive Forum.

Dr. Susan P. Gilbert, dean of the Stetson School of Business and Economics, lauded Mercer’s ability to create new opportunities for students without sacrificing the intimate feel of a ‘small college’.
