Cameron School of Business to Host First-Ever Business Symposium
The Cameron School of Business at the University of St. Thomas will hold its first-ever Business Symposium for the university community and Houston-area entrepreneurs. The goal of the symposium will be to assist professionals across several industries run their businesses with innovation and responsibility to positively impact their community.
The symposium will present two keynote speakers for the community, a panel of entrepreneurs and the opportunity to participate in small groups. The day will end with Rock the Block, an event sponsored by the Cameron School of Business. The event will be open to alumni, faculty, board members and current students, and will give them the chance to network and and celebrate their school.
Dr. Beena George, dean of the Cameron School of Business, commented on her goals for the historic event. “Our goal is to bring together successful business practitioners, students and other members of the community to share lessons learned and to be inspired,” she said. “The keynote and presentation sessions will cover topical issues in business and entrepreneurship, and should spark discussions on how to drive business success and increase the impact of organizations.”
The symposium will be open to any who would like to attend. Tickets will be free for students and alumni of UST, and prices for those outside of the UST community will soon be announced. Tickets will cover access to the day’s events in addition to lunch and dinner. The event will occur on November 20th and will take place on the UST campus.
