The first round of application deadline for the Two-Year and One-Year MBA programs at F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business is Nov. 1. Petia Whitmore, Dean of the Graduate School Admissions at Babson gave prospective students some advice for getting the application completed by the deadline. She advices applicants to carefully review the details of the application process and the requirements for admission for the program that they are applying to.
To be qualified for admission at Olin, applicants must first complete the online application. Whittier points out that when completing the application, it is important that you review it before submission and to double check that you have selected the correct program for admission. Applicants are also required to complete two essay questions. Two-year program applicants are reminded that there is a separate essay required for applicants who seek scholarships in addition to the two admission essays. Applicants also can submit an additional optional essay if there is more information that they feel is relevant to your candidacy or if anything in your application requires further explanation.
Applicants must also submit a copy of their current resume, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts, GMAT scores and pay a $100 application fee. All applicants are required to have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Applicants that attended an institution outside of the United States must provide an equivalency evaluation of their degree.
Some applicants may also be required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. Those whose native language is English or have received an undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand are not required to take the exams. All other applicants are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS. An exam waiver may be granted if an applicant has earned a degree from another country if the only language used for instruction was English, or if you been employed in the United States full-time for a minimum of two consecutive years.
