Stillman Launches New MBA Capstone Course

The Stillman School of Business has launched a brand new capstone course for its MBA students. The course, Integrative Experience II: Business Consulting (BMBA 9210), will give students an intense insight into the world of consulting and strategy. Students will take all of the skills and knowledge that they have learned across their time in the MBA program at Stillman and directly apply it to real-world consulting project.

For the course, students will work with their client for 10 weeks. The client for this semester’s students is th Reheroed, a start-up company that makes products with a what the company calls a “heroic past”. The company creates products from used equipment from organizations like the FDNY. The company has already had success selling products for the FDNY made from used fire hoses.  There will be three student teams that will all work to learn about their client, create a market strategy and help to drive the company’s future growth.

The course will be taught by Associate Professor Henry J. Amoroso, J.D. Amoroso serves as an associate professor in the Department of Economics and Legal Studies at Seton Hall University. He is also the inaugural director of the Micah Institute for Business Ethics and Economic Justice. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in the legal environment of business, ethics and public policy.

In addition to working to learn more about the company and applying what the students have learned to aid the company, the final MBA capstone course also features student-created presentations to the clients and a final report and presentation that outlines key insights and actionable recommendations that the students have created.
