Clark Atlanta Partners with Delta Air Lines to Offer New Scholarship Honoring Alum

On October 29th, 2015, Clark Atlanta University Business School announced recipients for the new Delta Air Lines Tiffany Jackson-Pugh Angel Wings Legacy Scholarship Award, honoring a CAU alumna and business leader at Delta Air Lines.

Graduate students in the supply chain, engineering or business disciplines at CAU will be eligible for one of two $3,500 memorial scholarships offered annually through the 2019-20 school year, equalling a total of $35,000 during this five-year period. The scholarship will be awarded to students based on both financial need and academic record.

Tiffany Jackson-Pugh, who passed away in November of 2014, graduated from CAU in 2006 with a BBA in logistics, materials and supply chain management. The same year she joined Delta, quickly advancing through the company and serving as supply chain management commodity manager from 2013 on.

Delta’s Senior Vice President of Fleet and Supply Chain Management, Greg May, commented on Jackson-Pugh’s legacy at Delta for ethical, innovative and reliable work. “We are honored to partner with Clark Atlanta University in establishing this scholarship award program as a tribute to Tiffany’s professionalism, integrity and compassion for others…[W]e know that her acumen and preparation was, in large part, attributed to the education she received in Clark Atlanta University’s Decision Sciences and Supply Chain Management Program.”

MBA Candidates Bradley Gilbeaux and Evony Smith are the first at CAU to receive the scholarships. Both students are currently working towards an MBA with a concentration in supply chain management.

Ronald A. Johnson, Ph.D, president of Clark Atlanta University, lauded partnerships such as these which can help advance not just the academic mission of the University, but assist the school’s goal to “Mobilize the Future”.
