The 2016 Military Friendly Schools List Includes Alliant International University

On November 5, Victory Media released its 2016 Military Friendly Schools report. Sixteen colleges, trade schools, and universities in San Diego made it onto the list of “military friendly” schools, including Alliant International University, Point Loma Nazarene University, and UC San Diego. This is the seventh year Victoria Media’s Military Friendly® ratings reviewed post-secondary schools to discover who had the leading programs for veterans, members of the Armed Forces leaving military service, and military spouses.

The list in total highlighted more than 1,400 Military Friendly Schools and 220 Military Friendly Employers throughout the country. Schools were chosen after completing an extensive survey, which covered ten indicators of success, according to the press release by Victory Media. A few of those indicators were:

All survey responses were scored against benchmarks and independently tested by Ernst & Young. Chris Hale, a Navy veteran and Chairman and Co-Founder of Victory Media, said in a press release, “We live in an era when the value of military service in the professional world is unquestioned and unmatched.” He went on to further say, “Veterans are graduates of the premier training institution in the world, but they need a consistent and predictable standard that lets them make good choices for major life decisions like where to work or where to enroll in school. The mission of Military Friendly® is to create maximum professional opportunity for them and other members of the military community.”

Military Friendly® is the rating division of Victoria Media. It rates companies and colleges on their ability to recruit and retain military veterans and spouses. Victoria Media is a Service-disabled, Veteran-owned business.

The Alliant School of Management at Alliant International University, Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University, and Rady School of Management at UC San Diego all offer MBA programs in the San Diego area.
