Babson Leases New Space in Downtown Boston
Babson College has announced an expansion of its Boston presence that will primarily affect students of the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. According to a press release from the school, Babson is leasing 9,000 square feet at 100 High Street in Boston’s Financial District.
“Nearly half of all Babson alumni – approximately 16,000 graduates – live or work in Greater Boston, and the eight largest employers of Babson graduates are Boston-based companies,” Babson President Kerry Healey said in the press release. “By more than doubling the size of our Boston space and moving to this more modern and accessible location, we can both attract and educate graduate students where they work and offer our alumni a convenient and innovative convening space for networking, coworking and much more.”
The move is expected to happen before the start of fall 2016 classes.
“Our new High Street location will make it possible for part-time MBA students to complete their entire degree in downtown Boston,” said William Lamb, Murata Dean at the Olin School. “We look forward to expanding our high-quality graduate program offerings through this larger, amenity-rich location.”
In addition to 7,000 square feet of classrooms, meeting rooms and lounge areas, Babson’s new campus on High Street will include 2,000 feet of ground-level space that will be used for events, coworking and as a showcase for the entrepreneurial activities of Babson students and alumni.
Babson offers a two-year MBA program, a one-year option, a Blended Learning MBA for professionals who work full time and an Evening MBA program.
