Doctorate of Business at Gupta Ranked Sixth in the Nation
The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas has recently had another program- the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA)- ranked among the nation’s best.
In the recent Top Management Degrees’ ranking of “Top 50 Doctorate in Business Management Programs”, the DBA program at Gupta has been ranked as #6 in the nation, joining the list with such other top schools as the University of Florida, Washington University of St. Louis, and Harvard University.
The AACSB-accredited DBA program is an excellent opportunity to graduate students who wish to extend their degree and give themselves a competitive edge within the job market. At Gupta, students can achieve their doctoral degree in three years. The program is part-time, and includes a 60-credit-hour curriculum based on developing strategies for customer engagement, new technology, and organizational aptitude. The program is largely based around applied research, offering students the chance to work closely alongside scholars with both practical and academic business knowledge.
A ranking from Top Management Degrees is determined by five equally-weighted criteria, which include: prestige, cost, student satisfaction, accreditation and business management curriculum. Editor of Top Management Degrees, Tammie Cagle, commented that the website is designed to help students make informed choices about where to pursue their degrees. “We are committed to connecting people to inspiring ideas and high quality education opportunities,” she said. “We are confident that students will find both at the University of Dallas.”
Interim Dean Brett J. L. Landry, commented on the program’s high ranking. “We’re extremely proud of our practice-based, doctoral research program,” he said. “It has already provided many of our students with opportunities to present research based on real world issues at academic conferences both nationally and internationally.”
