Drucker School Announces Fellowships for Tech, Creative Industries Degrees, Among Others
The Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University recently announced the extension and creation of 10 fellowships that will total more than $500,000 per year.
The students who will benefit are from various programs, including technology, financial engineering, the creative industries and management. The awards will cover up to 100 percent of tuition costs for full-time students in these programs.
Included will be the Toyota Women of Achievement Scholars Program, which will support the training of women seeking careers in supply chain management; a Diversity Fellowship, which will provide management education funding for students from underrepresented communities; the Peter F. Drucker Fellowship, which will be awarded to students in government, non-profit and the private sectors; the Fletcher Jones Technology Management Fellowship, and the Creative Leader Fellowship, which will benefit students seeking careers in media, the arts and entertainment.
Tom Horan, dean of the Drucker School of Management, said in a press release, “The diversity of our fellowships signifies the broad approach to management that Peter Drucker espoused through his belief that management is a liberal art—namely, that the best managers arise from a deep understanding of business and its interactions with society.”
Students under consideration for one of the fellowships must be enrolled in one of the Drucker School’s graduate programs. Priority will be given to full-time students.
“These fellowships constitute an important element of our ambitious Drucker Renaissance initiative and reflect our commitment to attracting and keeping the highest caliber of business school students,” Dean Horan continued.
