Henley Business School at the University of Reading has granted the 2015 Grooming for Greatness (G4G) Fellowship to Glory Edozien, a 2009 doctoral graduate of the University.
G4G provides African people across the world with access to leadership opportunities, with a focus on developing the visibility of Africa in the global marketplace.
Edozien received her MSc in Information Systems and Environmental Monitoring, and her PhD in Real Estate and Urban Environmental Planning. She is currently a project development executive for Enviro Africa, where she identifies and develops emission reduction projects, and works to advocate for awareness of climate change. Enviro Africa is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
“Being selected for the Grooming for Greatness fellowship … is an honor but most of all a responsibility. I am excited about meeting other Fellows, speakers and mentors but also quite eager to gain from the capacity-building opportunities the Fellowship will provide. A major objective of the Fellowship is to create a pipeline for leadership on the continent – leaders who are prepared to confront the challenges and embrace the opportunities in Africa.” Edozien said.
Edozien also advocates for the empowerment of African women through her lifestyle enterprise, “The Inspire Series”, which is a division of Inspired by Glory, of which she is founder and CEO. On her website and talk show, Glory features celebrities, entrepreneurs, and leaders who serve as role models for their communities. The site also features career and business advice, in addition to relationship, style and fashion tips.
