Cranfield School of Management Announces New Scholarship

The Cranfield School of Management recently announced a full MBA scholarship sponsored by Essentra PLC, a supplier of specialized products for various industries including healthcare, manufacturing and distribution.

Essentra CEO Colin Day earned his MBA from Cranfield in 1980. He served as chief financial officer at various companies before joining Essentra.

“As a Cranfield alumnus myself, I am very pleased that Essentra is supporting this new scholarship to provide another student with the valuable experience and opportunities which the MBA program offers,” Day said in a recent press release. The scholarship is open to applicants from marketing, manufacturing, sales or operations. These students will also receive opportunities from Essentra after completing the program.

“We are enormously grateful to Essentra for their most generous donation,” Dr. Stephanie Hussels, the full-time MBA program director at Cranfield, said in a statement. “Scholarships are an important source of support and can enable students, who might not otherwise have been able, to fulfil their potential… Our alumni play an integral part in the school’s future and by supporting future business leaders through scholarships, they help create a sustainable legacy for tomorrow’s business.”

Students who apply for the Essentra scholarship will be judged on three criteria: the basic strength of their application, including achievements, credentials, merit and professional record; the completion of a special project assigned by Essentra; and whether they meet the company’s standard recruitment requirements.

Full details of the scholarship can be found here.
