LFGSM Celebrates 70 Years of Education, Introduces New Dean

Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM) is celebrating 70 years of building business leaders in the Chicago Metro and across the country.

Abbott Laboratories, Fansteel Metallurgical Corporation and Johns-Manville Products Corporation joined forces with Lake Forest College to form the Lake Forest College Industrial Management Institute in 1946 in order to offer management training during the post WWII industrial boom. Lake Forest Graduate School of Management subsequently separated on amicable terms from Lake Forest College. Today, LFGSM is an independent not for profit institution known for its practical education model and both its Immersion MBA and Leadership MBA programs.

Additionally, LFGSM welcomed Cheryl Boncuore, PhD, as the school’s new dean. Boncuore most recently was an Academic Director of Distance Learning at Kendall College. There she managed hybrid and distance learning courses, including instructional design, training on technology and pedagogy, student training. She taught classes in the International School of Business and the General Education program and focused on curriculum and instruction, academic core competencies, pedagogy of technology, adult learning theories.
