HBS India Program to Launch in July

Harvard Business School’s new Senior Executive Leadership Program-India is now accepting applications. The new HBS India program “accelerates the transformation of experienced senior executives into leaders well suited to drive the region’s high-growth businesses,” according to the school.

The program is designed to minimize the time participants will need to spend away from their jobs. It will run July 17, 2016, through June 10, 2017.

The first (July 17-22) and fourth (May 29-June 10) modules of the HBS India program will be at the HBS Boston campus. The second (Oct. 17-28) and third (Jan. 22-Feb. 3) modules will be in Mumbai. Between modules, participants will apply what they have learned to their organization’s challenges using a Value Mapping Strategy. They’ll also work on individual strategy projects and attend interactive sessions via virtual classroom.

According to information from the school, participants who complete the program will be better able to think strategically and competitively, foster innovation, negotiate, measure performance, drive change, lead authentically and ethically and foster a culture of accountability.

The program is open to senior executives from anywhere in the world. According to the school, “Participants typically will have at least 15 to 20 years of work experience and represent diverse growth-focused organizations, including large, established companies; new ventures; family businesses; or growing arms of multinational firms.” HBS will begin reviewing applications four months before the start of the program. All applications must be submitted no later than four weeks before the program’s start date.
