Job Fair Offers Employment Opportunities for Bauer College Students

This Friday, February 5, the University of Houston – C.T. Bauer College of Business will host its Spring 2016 Business Career Fair at the University of Houston Hilton, creating new employment opportunities for Bauer College Students.

The event, which is sponsored by the Rockwell Career Center at Bauer College, will take place from noon to 4 pm on February 5th. At the Rockwell Career Center, all students, employers and alumni are given an opportunity to network and discover new opportunities. With events such as the career fair, as well as internship mixers and volunteer fairs, both undergraduate and graduate students are given the chance to connect with prospective employers. In addition, the center aims to make employers aware of the benefits of hiring a Bauer College student.

“One of the great things about being at Bauer is our huge network of employers,” said Jamie Belinne, Assistant Dean for Career Services. “Career Fair is a great place to meet hundreds of professionals all at one time.”

Over 100 employers attend the job fair, seeking Bauer students for both internship and job opportunities, especially to fulfill immediate summer needs. The participating companies provide an excellent range of opportunity and industry, including HP, TDECU, Target, and ExxonMobil.

“Even if you’re not ready for an internship, the sooner you start meeting prospective employers to talk about future opportunities, the more likely you are to be the candidate they select when you are ready to be hired,” said Belinne.

To participate in the fair, Bauer students need only their UH student ID and must dress professionally.
